This is a new outdoor and upscale mall in Clinton Township Michigan all decked out for the holiday season.
Taken with my crappy point and shoot Sony in anticipation of my new Canon 40d :-D (its in one of the boxes under the tree). Photoshoped. (obviously)
School Christmas Trees - found in halls, corridors and classrooms, all sadly dismantled before we broke up.
...loads up the pickup truck, grabs a 6-pack and goes out to see the Christmas lights...only on 37th street in Austin, Texas! :-)

The Adobe is a drug recovery home in Benicia who put a huge Christmas light display every year, assembled by all the members of the house.
This is my first year that I got to take pictures of it, but I forgot my monopod, so shots are somewhat blurry
I will publish in the next days a set of pictures I shot in Alsace (Strasbourg, Colmar, Eguishem, Ribeauvilé) during Christmas time.
It was my first visit in Alsace during Christmas time.
This is really a charming place to discover at that time. Don't miss to go.
Every year the residents of the largely Italian-American Dyker Heights, in the southwest corner of Brooklyn, convert their front porches and yards into extravagant Christmas light displays. The "miracle mile" of outer borough Christmas lights can be found on 84th Street between 10th and 12th Avenues. Each year, as many as 100,000 visitors trek along to the Heights to see everything from large-scale Disney balloons to neon-lit manger scenes to mall Santas to a monumental Santa and toy soldiers.
In 2000, Conan O'Brien filmed a remote for Late Night with Conan O'Brien in Dyker Heights. The PBS-televised documentary "Dyker Lights", produced in 2001 told the story of the neighborhood's annual tradition.
... hanging at the window over the kitchen sink. i really love this wreath. soon it will be stashed together with all the other christmas decoration.
Una foto per augurare ancora buone feste a tutti; nel soggetto ho concentrato il presepe e l'albero di Natale realizzati in una delle più famose piazze del mondo...
I almost forgot to put this up. This is one of my favorites.
They built a storage barn behind their house to keep all this in!!
City Hall has taken on a green glow these days.
Another look at the Denver City & County building in its holiday garb.
This started with an HDR image made from 3 bracketed fisheye shots, subsequently "defished" via PTLens. Made it to Explore's front page, or so I've been told...

Today was the second night of Hanukkah. Although I'm not as observant as I should be, I try to light the menorah during Hanukkah. And even though she's not Jewish, Heather feels that it's important that we light the menorah, and she enjoys doing that with me. And I enjoy listening to her try to say the Hanukkah blessing.

Alamo Plaza...San Antonio, TX...December 20, 2008
Well, I thought this was about the best Christmas tree on the block. So, I took a picture of it.
Since coming home for the holidays, it's been too cold to go out to take photos - had to be content with taking pix of the family and just finding other things to do...But tonight, I was going a little stir-crazy and decided to brave the weather and see what I could catch. What do you think?
I wanted to title this simply "Merry Christmas" but in light of (haha) the recent snow surplus, I thought "wieght" might be more appropriate.
Merry Christmas!
(Please drink and play responsibly)
Happy holidays everyone!
The view here is from the steps of Federal Hall, looking across Wall Street and south (sort of) on Broad Street. The neoclassical building on the right, whose illuminated columns form an American flag, is the New York Stock Exchange; its facade was designed by George B. Post. The building, which opened in 1903, is a National Historic Landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
